Have you ever wanted to have a sneak peek at what a photoshoot with us would look like? Here is a blog that follows us during a session with a beautiful client, beautiful scenery, and some fun times.

Every Session is Different.

We do a lot of different types of sessions that will change how we work with clients; this one is just one person and she is amazing. We love her character and spirit and we want that to show throughout any of the photos that we capture of her.

This session started just before sundown, where we could capture as much as that beautiful light over Knoxville as possible.

At first, we always take some basic posed photos to help with getting our client comfortable in front of the camera. We want to keep the experience as comfortable as possible and make sure that our client knows that it’s our job to “worry” about where their hands go, what their body position should be, and overall how the photo is looking.

Then after getting comfortable with being in front of the camera we wanted to show a side of Courtney that we see all the time in person; the goofy, outgoing, personal side of her. As you can see in the video below she isn’t one to just stay still so we wanted to get her moving, whether that be through dancing, walking or just flipping her glorious curls, we wanted to show her character through a still frame.

The entire time, we want to continue to give direction and guidance on what we want from our client and what we want them to be doing for the camera. With this type of communication we know our client isn’t having to worry about what their face looks like, where their hands need to be, or how good they look in the photos because we are constantly telling them that they look amazing and/or what to change while we are snapping our camera.

I hope that this gives some insight of how a photo session normally goes with us, it’s all about having fun, letting go, and being YOU!
